This is the epic of all speeches ever given. I have a dream! I have a dream! When you look at the technicality of speaks writing Martin Luther King had it in fact probably every one who is informs of people study the speaks and how it is delivered. However on thing that they seem to be missing is the one thing that maybe we have forgotten about. I have herd a lot of good speeches these days in our churches people who have studied the process of delivering a good dialog, sermon, speaks, monogram, talk or what ever it is called. But this is something maybe we have forgotten. Now I am no great preacher and may never preach to the thousands, but if I could share my heart and connect with people like Martin Luther King I will share my heart till the day I die. Please take the 20min and watch the video.

Benchpress Drop

this is my workout last week. it did not hurt as much as you think :)

This is my beautiful wife that I have never focused on yet in this blog. In fact she is not really the one who would appreciate me doing this that is why it has been such a struggle to get a good picture of her. This was taken on our holidays this summer and it was at a time when she is either very grouchy or lack of sleep. Anyways here she is for all to see.

New

We spent the best three weeks of our lives just away. We never spent hours looking up friends or eating out in restaurants, spending too much on shopping, nope. We just did nothing but have fun with us, with the kids, and with w few relatives, (they were feeding us, and we liked the company). Now were are back and don't ask what we did or were we went. However we are finding some places to stay were the bed is free and the food is cheap, real cheap. So what are you supposed to do on one of these things anyway, we have never been away with so much freedom before? So to start off we think we should sleep a lot, eat a lot (free food mind you) and drink a lot. Sounds good to me. We started off with a stay to some friends and had a great lobster feast, and some great bubbly to go with it. The whole theme is to play everything buy ear and come and go as we please, not letting anyone dictate our time. However I seem to be spending a lot of time on the phone and writing emails keeping up with everything back home, but the best part is not being there. This is the saga of our days of eating drinking and being marry.

Rest u2

Well seeing the screams and profanity that have been left in the comment part of my last post I will post just to keep the language to a PG-13 level.

it hass been a long time since my last post however the shituations that I have been facing are out of my control.

you see Tony decided to take a month off and leave me with all the resposabilities of the church, and to be quite honest with you it was probably the most fun I have ever had working in a church.

I see that everyone loves to blog and what not however I have ventured into a new thing over the last few weeks, you ask what that might be well if you happened to be at conference on the ministry this last year back in march I have been learning the art of making sparkling water, (according to the honorable Dave Wells). It has been fascinating the care and the factors that go into this form of art. It has helped me rest and take time to myself as well as some great fun enjoying the fruit of my art.

rest

What is the point of work? Well mean I know the bible says that if you don't work you don't eat, or in my case I'll probable frezze before I starve. Anyway I have found myself in a frenzy with feeling like I am over worked. What caused this devastating situation you ask? Me, and only me. So if I was the one to get myself to feel like this then I am the only one who can get out of it. I know you or most of you all probably feel the same and in your minds you are playing with the thoughts of what a wimp he should just pull up his panties and get on with life (or in other words you are saying "suck it up") well thanks for your advice and I think just suking it up is what got me into this situation. But I have been working (again that word comes up) on putting my life first (what a selfish thing, ya its great). You see if I can implament but only one biblical princable into my life it would be this, look after self. The bible dose not say what is going to happen if I don't take time to rest (sabath day) my face might fall off you never know, but I belive that people can work themselves to death as per what the bible says. Is it becasue the work world has forgotten how to take care of their employies, therfore we have to take care of oursleves. This is just a thought of the week and really I feel the condemming feeling of spending to much time already on this post when there is so much more i have to be doing, work, work, work, is that all we do............

fight

sorry for the no updates on the sight i have been fighting with this thing tring to get it to work i changed some settings wich screwed everything up and it took me a wile to find out what i did. i used to think that i knew something about computers but my age and abilities to run this blog is telling me different. oh well if you cant fight them join them. but soom i will get back to writing about something that matters.

belong to

have been thinking a lot the last few months about belonging. We have our belonging that seem to have a way of seeing the pace for who we are. For example if you own a Mac laptop and there you are one of those laptop coffee drinkers (gosh sometimes I think they just want attention) and you see another on of your types sitting there with their silver, slim, and sleek power books open and really just wanting for someone to notice them. Anyway my point is that most Mac users will come and talk to you and ask you about your system. This is because you feel like you belong. Mac has done a great job creating the Mac culture, this is a set of people who Mac has marketed as a step up, or above the rest. For me I would love a Mac in fact I want one just to be one of the laptop coffee drinkers, and so I can feel like I belong. When I chow up and I have this massive bulky, heavy, computer and all my friends come and whip out their nice thin power book and get friken five hours of battery, and after twenty minutes I'm looking for a outlet, I feel like I don't belong. so how can we in church create this atmosphere of belonging? People want to belong to something, they want to feel apart of something, something that will set them apart form the norm. Anyone have answers?

Does Leadership suck

Seems like all that is talked about is leadership, all people want read about is leadership. Is it going to end is something different going to come around and take the spot light away from this leadership frenzy. We can sit around and analyze what we think a good leader is and bounce ideas off of each other but really dose it change anything. We still have the same stuff happening in our lives and nothing seems to change. Well maybe this is just me talking out of my .... But I look at myself and really all this stuff I have filled my mind with is not really helping me out. I knew this guy well I still know him, his desire was to be a know it all when it comes to leadership. He had herd that if someone reads 15 minutes a day on one topic with in five years your would know everything there is to know about that topic and probably know more then anyone in the world. Well he was about a year and a halve into this crazy journey and I asked him one day how things were going. He responded that he had lost the point of what he was doing, which I though was kind of funny because if he is reading about casting vision leading through conflict or hard times or what ever he had read about but yet he was lost on his journey. What is the point to this is exactly my point there is no point it will never end it will never stop coming, there are no leadership principals that will stay the same it all keeps changing. It is about impossible for any one to think they could know everything about leadership. Here are some thoughts for yah:
1. You can't polish a sneaker.
2. You remember 1/3 of what you read, 1/2 of what people tell you, but 100 percent of what you feel.
3. A person who is nice to you but rude to the watiter is not a nice person. (This rule never fails.)

what

well i really don't quite know what i am doing Paul M talked me into doing this blog thing and really i have been resistant to the whole thing i feel like i am just wasting time in the office when i should be doing other things but i guess it is the new way to stay connected to the "others" or us whatever you want to be called.
